As many people have known....i have decided to seek greener pastures back in Singapore instead of here in boring Brisbane... I have actually thought of many reasons to hate Australia....but i cant seem to write any 1 of them...maybe next time...

Anyway sorry for the late posts, as i dun have the motivation to write currently...I also have many pics i wanted to upload here including graduation pics and my Sydney trip, but i think i should wait till im back in SG...meanwhile i guess its back to daily mahjong sessions and looking for jobs time....

Yes as u can see from the time of my post...i am currently on standby as my 9pm SIA flight is full as always due to some stupid asshole pilots....my parents and i waited for the second flight at 12midnight by playing dai dee in the T3 foodcourt....lol...but then the second flight is full as well so we went back home and sleep...hopefully i can get this morning's 10am flight....

Chi Bi Part I

Yesterday, me, qk and two of his friends went to watch the epic movie Chi Bi (or Red Cliffs if you dunno...) which is a significant battle in the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms...The movie turned out to be quite well done, especially the mini battle involving the use of the Ba Gua Formation, however what i do not like about this is that the movie ends without showing the start of the real battle...and the performance of the stupid lin chi ling who is acting as Zhou Yu's wife Xiao Qiao...

Last thursday, the UQ idiots treated me to Geylang Lor 9 Beef Hor Fun since they didn come for the buffet..Although i find it to be quite good, they said the standard has dropped from last time...guess this may be due to inflation rates...lol.. After that i was hoping to find somewhere to play pool but the best one is still in marine parade and they do not want to take a cab there...in the end we went to Bugis and try some dessert...duh...

Graduation Lunch Buffet 2008

Yesterday, I organized a lunch buffet at my house. Although many suckers like the two UQ idiots and others dua me last minute...at least i got most of the people coming here...like my signal platoon ppl from 3SIR and my polytechnic classmates..I was shocked to see fan wai kit who usually dun turn up...ahaa..Somehow i was surprised to see juz Elson and Changxiong representing nass4b...i was hoping for more to turn up but then again thats good enough...although they played my DS until the battery was flat, as well as intruding into my private photo collection on my laptop...I also would like to thank my gang for coming, with the exception of the two niaoz who are still stuck in Sydney...nvm its ok i will be visiting u all soon...and im still wondering if BH and his friend is dating...lol...

Extending my Passport

This afternoon i went with mum all the way from my house to the Immigrations and Checkpoint Authority (ICA) at Lavender to extend my passport....turns out that the chow auntie dun wanna extend my passport as it is only issued for 10 years....!@#$%^&*()..this means i have to apply for a new biometric passport...and this also mean i have to memorise a new passport number....as if my brain can hold another 7 digit number....if this goes on, sooner or later there will be amyloid beta in my brain...which would lead to formation of plaques and ultimately alzheimers...Not only that...i have to travel there again next wk to collect my biometric passport...sianz....

hi..this time i would like to help my mum sell her Proteus exercise bike...model no is PEC-3250....the whole bike has been fully assembled and is available for self collection at my house....instruction manual is included....

There is no warranty since its already 2 yrs old...however there will be a personal warranty for 1 wk....its in good condition 8/10 since my mum prefer to go to califonia fitness....lol...

Its been 5 days since im back in sg and sad to say im quite surprised about the influx of PRCs and bangalas...it seems sg is getting very overpopulated....not to mention the super inflation rates where a can drink in my downstairs kopitiam is $1.30...wtf...and im also getting irritated by the number of Mas Selamat wanted posters at the back door of every SBS buses...

Although i have gotten my Nintendo DS Lite Crimson Black + DSTT + 2gb Kingston microSD card as my graduation present from my parents....im still feeling very bored...im very disappointed that only Wee Hiong bother to contact me, while everyone is busy having their own lives.... im wondering if i made the right decision in coming back instead.....well at least i can finally enjoy the food here..

During the first study week of exam...my buddy from Signal Institute Cheng Hui (nickname Cougar) introed me to this WOW private server with excellent rates...and theres even a soulbound bug where they could actually transfer any soulbound items to each other...unfortunately there are a lot of bugs in the server such as absence of professions and i stopped when my tauren druid reached lv 70... Here is a pic of one of the bug...

Recently i also took advantage of a pve to pve free transfer for my main...alliance lv 70 shadow priest from Aman'thul to Thaurissan...yeah!!...unfortunately i have to change my nick as my current name has already been taken (Elythia to Alythia...) Yes somehow yesterday night Selwin, Alden, Ruth and Jarrod came to my house to play my ps2...there are only quite a few multiplayer games such as Dragonball 2, Soul Calibur 3, etc... I was in a bad mood from the genomics exam so i was actually kind of venting my anger on these fighting games. Kind of expected, when we played Dragonball, Selwin's Piccolo and Trunks combination (which is supposed to be the best team in the game) got thrashed by my kid team of Gohan and Trunks (who supposedly have 3 life bars lesser than their adult counterpart...), and before that he said if he lose he wont play Dragonball with me anymore, with a sulky expression...(since he lost i dunno whether he will play Dragonball with me again...lol..). Alden is kind of good for a beginner in that he can master Kilik (the one with the staff) in Soul Calibur 3 (i am one myself actually..), i think he can reach the level of one of best character in Maxi (the one with the nuchaku). As usual Selwin always uses some cheat moves to win... Jarrod was kind of interested only in his laptop and his political ambitions webbies....and Ruth first time playing somehow can spam all the skills that i have never seen in the game before, but it was irritating since she was giggling all the time. She then insisted on playing Dance Dance Revolution Supernova so we tried that one...although i am kind of bad with the controller...she was always 1 grade lower than me...then she complained if she is not pregnant she will thrash me in the arcade...lol..like i can dance in the arcade....hmph...

Genomics Exam

This morning, I woke up at 8am so i could go to uni early just to browse through the notes..I had to buy a regular cappucino at Darwin (the biological sciences library cafe) so it could prevent me from falling sleep halfway through studying...lol... But it turns out to be a nightmare, cos although i have been camping in my room for the past 5 days...it turns out to be so hard...you might as well dun bother studying...its not worth the effort..I mean who the hell would come out a question about the ENCODE project and what year it is established...its not really biologically relevant anyway...you can guess who it is..(Melissa Brown sux as always...) And theres one with the diagram listing 5 bars and asking us to write what are the annotations of organisms to the genome size...who would bother to study the stupid diagram anyway...although it is quite common sense (Yu Leng and Sally somehow got it wrong...lol). Virus definitely has the smallest genome size but somehow Sally wrote it as 10^7 bp....lol...i was laughing until stomachache when i heard about this...When everyone left the lecture hall, they had those "soul leaving the body" expression and i was one of them...i was so in a bad mood that i couldn bother to listen to Matt Sweet immunology lecture...even until now when i am writting this blog...

A Break From Studying???

Yeah well last saturday, i went to Yeow Keong's house for pot luck and to celebrate his birthday during the evening...and i can also take some break from studying my genomics exam...lol.. He said i need to cook something so i cook some french fries. However after a while, they turn soggy...but somehow everyone ate them all!!! I was really surprised by this...maybe its because Selwin and Jarrod took a long time to deep fry their chicken wings and everyone was hungry from either talking too much, playing mahjong too much, or playing Wii too much... For me...i was the latter...lol, since i nv played a Wii before, i tried a few games such as tennis, boxing and bowling... Bowling was quite boring. I dun quite enjoy tennis either since i was always being thrashed by Alden who somehow know some cheat way to hit the ball at the edge of the court... Boxing was the most tiring game ever, i mean we have to like box the air so hard...my muscles were aching the next day...its worse than doing 5 cycles of chin-ups...However, the most fun is definitely guitar heroes 3....well somehow it turned out to be quite good in medium difficulty although i have nv played the guitar before, and i think i have a good partner in Ruth who is really good in music coordination probably due to her piano background....It turns out that we got tired of playing Wii so i brought my PS2 to his house...and Selwin was really happy when it turned out that the Dragonball have colour (My TV dun have colour..dunno how to set the settings...) It was really a good break from studying though...

yes i know my blog is rotting again...cos theres nothing interesting happening in uni and im too busy to blog during the weekdays...anyway Selwin and gang went to Sunnybank today so i like tag along...if u all dunno...Sunnybank is a suburb 4 zones away from the city and it is like a taiwanese district where u can buy cheap asian groceries and chinese restaurants...somehow there is a Singaporean restaurant selling hainanese chicken rice and char kway teow...so we went there to eat for lunch.. The standard was ok...the portion was huge though...i think the KTV at Woolonggabba serve the best food so far i think...

After that we went to buy some groceries and then they went home...while me and Selwin went to try the KTV there...lol....nv sing 1 wk can die i suppose..and guess what...the name of the KTV outlet is called Xin Tian Di..somehow its so coincidental with the one in Singapore, which is a lap sup bar though...while the one here is actually decent!!! its $20.80 for 3 hrs with meals...though the meal is such a small portion compared to Woolongabba...oh well...there are many more songs here in Sunnybank so i prefer to go there next time...

Next, we went back to the casino in the city to look for the rest...i cant enter with my backpack so i have to put it inside Selwin's sling bag and enter from the back door so the security guards wont recognise me..(dunno why they accept sling bag and reject backpacks...they are both bags anyway..) Actually i wanted to put it in the locker...but its like $5 for 5 hrs!!! thats madness...However the one thing that made me mad was the stupid security guard inside who asked me for my ID again!!!...i know i look young but im definitely look over 18 right??? Then we spent the next 2-3 hrs looking at their friend Dennis gambling in the casino..i think i learn something new in dice and blackjack....

So far, i think the trip today is quite enjoyable, except for the irritating asthma attack sound that Ruth and gang always make...duh...

During Good Friday which is the first day of our Easter holidays, me and four of my friends went to Dream World!!!...im so excited although i have already know that i will be the one taking care of their bags...lol.. At least i didn buy the $9 adult single trip ticket this time...hahah...We took a train at 9am from Central Station to Coo-somthing Station which is an hour's journey, then we took a 5min bus ride to Dreamworld from that station. However, i was surprised to see so many people queuing for the tickets...(both Caucasians and Asians). But then again, since its Good Friday (when Jesus got crucified..), i was wondering why did they go enjoy in Dreamworld when its such a sad day...dun they need to to Church to pray??? Oh well...

Morrison Steak House

Last sat, 5 of my friends and me went to this "Morrison Steak House" at Woloonggabba (but its actually at Mater Hill...duh..) Anyway I was really on a tight budget so i ordered the house specialty which is the cheapest steak in the menu (Yu Leng also ordered the same thing as me...since its his first time eating steak after 22 years...). Somehow it turns out to be really bad since the bacon surrounding the steak became burnt, thats why i was wondering how can this be a house specialty when the steak is so bad...i should have ordered a more expensive steak instead...it really spoils my day.. Luckily after that we went to "Three Monkeys" which i think is a cafe but doesnt look like one. Although one slice of my cake (Chocolate Cheesecake!!!) is A$6+, its at least much more delicious than that stupid steak...i forgot to take the pic of the cake..sorry guys..but i took a pic of the steak before i have eaten it...

It looks good on the outside...but it actually isnt....i ordered a glass of beer too...hehe~

UQ Summer Semester...

Its the 4th wk of the semester and guess what...the holidays are coming!!! Yes its the Easter holiday and we have a week of free time for those newbies to catch up with the lectures (which includes me). But then again the holidays have come too soon i suppose as we have 2 wks of holidays in the middle of the last semester. For this semester the 2 wks are spread out...so i dun think its really good for me... Anyway i feel that UQ is getting ****ed up due to the internet quota. For last sem, they give us 150MB but it didn deduct if we surf school or educational websites. However for this sem, they gave us 200MB but it deduct based on every website that we have surfed...so i really hate this system. Maybe its because UQ is getting so overpopulated this sem that they have to come up with this sort of thing. Selwin was very dulanz since he ended up with 20MB for this mth after reading a few days of the Straits Times...lol..

Look at the number of people in the Great Court..somehow the grass became green since it is summer now..lol..

Its about this girl who inherited the ancestral home after her father left for Seoul with another woman years ago.. and one day this guy came and tried to persuade her to sell her home...but he is actually the grandson of a servant who stole a cow from the house 50 years ago and is now a boss of a huge company. hi its been a long time since i last posted right??...lol...ive been busy taking a few pictures of the clouds in Brisbane using my Nokia N73...i know u all have been wondering that i have nothing better to do recently...but then ive noticed that the clouds are really beautiful compared to those in Singapore...and besides i feel taking these pictures can relieve some of study stress...haha..dunno why but when i look at the sky, it seems that some of the load have been carried off my mind...maybe its a psychological effect though... or maybe i have been watching too many animes like Sola..Anyway here are some pictures that i have taken...no clouds have been harmed during the filming process...

Terminal 3 Pictures

If u all dunno...i took the SIA flight to Brisbane last Saturday in Changi Airport Terminal 3. However, im surprised to find out that there weren't as many people there as i have thought to be...since its recently opened. Anyway there were two flights on that night (9.15pm and 11.45pm). Although i was hoping to get onto the 9.15pm flight, sad to say some stupid pilots got the seats first (since my dad was just a normal employee at SIA, thus he have some sort of a lower rank...just like SAF i suppose...). Well thats what you get for a staff ticket. Luckily i managed to get onto the 11.45pm flight at the last minute, as i dun wanna wait till morning for the next flight and i hate day flights as i cant sleep...duh..

Yawnzz...today is my market day and we have to go to a suburb called West End in order to buy cheap groceries such as veges, meat, etc... Thus i was shocked this morning to find out that almost all the people waiting at Guyatt Park Ferry Station are asians, and most likely Singaporeans judging from their behaviour (as in wake up early just to go buy cheap stuff...typical singaporeans...) It almost look like a singapore paradise in st lucia...haha...Anyway nothing happened much except that there were surprisingly more people there than the last 2 months...Probably due to the mass student intake for this semester at UQ...Since my housemate Alicia went out after that, i suppose i can go to Selwin's house for free dinner later...(actually not free cos i have to pay for the dory fillet..damn..).

Almost forgot..thanks to Yuleng for the suggestion of background and fonts for my tagboard...!!! It looked much nicer than the plain white background..lol..

well i have updated my anime list and i currently possess 162 anime series!!!...yeah!!! i will be increasing my collection as the days progress, but it will be quite slow due to my anime source moving to Sydney...and he cant dl any animes anymore...such a pity...oh well...

I may be renting a server soon so i can put up some of my stuff for private download...see how ba...

I have read on MSN news that a terrorist is on the loose somewhere in Singapore??..This is the first time that this has happened, and somehow the minister in charge just apologise publicly??? I think he should be sacked or something as this shouldn be happening in such a peaceful island...lol..anyway i was wondering how come he can escape so easily when he is actually walk in a limp...but i really hope he will be caught soon or there will be widespread panic in the future..but i dun really care since im in Brisbane....lol

The Leap Day???

hihi...since its is a leap day today..i decided to put some posts up (somehow im free today...). For those who do not know what is a leap day...shame on u..lol..anyway its always an extra day after 28 Feb and it only occurs every 4 years(so the next leap would be 29 Feb 2012!!!). Thus, those that were born on a leap day can only celebrate their birthday every 4 yrs....such a pity...well they can always celebrate on 28 Feb when there is no leap yr....lol.

I have made some changes to my current blog...as u all may have noticed (i really hope u do....), the tagboard has been removed due to complaints from CX. Thus i have changed it to flooble chatbox. The functions are quite good but i cant really manipulate the overall design of the chatbox...thus i really apologise for the white background...haha...

It has been a week since i started my 2nd semester in UQ, and i can tell u that im really getting quite sianz...Although i should be quite free for this sem, the free days meant i have to be in the lab doing some research...The courses that i have taken up are:

BIOL3003 - Advanced Immunology (End of Sem Exam)
BIOL3004 - Genomics and Bioinformatics (Mid Sem Exam)
SCIE3012 - Introduction to Research (No Exam...yeah!!)

Although i really like doing research, i think im feeling quite jaded due to the repeating experiments that i would be doing...but then this is the only way where i can get good results (i somehow always do quite poorly for those courses with exams...). Gambatte~....I hope....

Anyway towards the end of the project, the contract for Selwin and Yu Leng's rented unit was ending and they have to return it to the real estate agent. The problem is the new owner of the unit wanted them to return the unit in a condition before they moved in...This meant a "stand by universe" condition during the BMT days...hahaha...so they have to clean the whole night and i was just minding my own business, laughing at their demise... I managed to take a picture of Yu Leng cleaning the bathtub glass though...Selwin was pissed off when i tried to take a picture of him cleaning the toilet sink....duh...

Well after i went back to Brisbane, turns out that it was Christmas Week... This meant i couldn do any lab work...sux... However, although Christmas is really big in Aussie (1 week holiday for Christmas...), the decorations in the city were really crappy...i think Tampines also have more christmas decorations than this.....

As most of the people have already known...i went back to Singapore after the exams..and i really enjoyed my time here.. However i was shocked to find out that my bed had been shifted to the new condo that my parents have invested....duh... In the end i have to sleep on a crappy mattress like in Brisbane...

As everyone know...im already back in Singapore for 3 days now....and i am starting to get bored....everyone back here is either working or studying for exams in the weekdays...thus im at home most of the time watching my never ending collection of animes..as well as playing some new PC games such as Two Worlds and Guild Wars Factions Collector's Edition (bought from Sim Lim Technodrome from the friendly Uncle for $59.90!!!...woohoo~ discount)... Anyway i spent 2 hrs creating my anime list for those people who like to trade them with me, this will be posted after this.

Band Concert

Hi guys..sorry for the long delay...too busy doing my lab report..Anyway today the UQ Symphonic Wind Ensemble (SWE) has a performance at the UQ Customs House at Riverside, but then i forgot to take a pic of the building...oh well.. We performed 2 pieces called Celtic Folk Songs and Chaos Theory, where there is a soloist playing electric guitar (very cool)...wish i know how to play but then i have to learn acoustic guitar first though. Somehow my partner didn come for the performance so i have to play 2nd Clarinet part alone, but its still ok.. Here are some pictures that were taken...

Japanese 'cosplay' draws huge following in Taiwan

I came across this yahoo news article which is very interesting. It seems that cosplay is a hit in taiwan. Well i dunno about that since i nv been to taiwan, but from the picture below (omg looks gay...are the two guys or gals?), i think it really is. Since there are quite a number of anime fans in singapore, why dun i see any1 cosplaying in the streets like Orchard Road, or creating a cosplay cafe (i thin there are some but i dunno where they are). Maybe like typical singaporeans they only download and watch free anime instead of buying anime costumes?? lol... i wish i have the guts to do cosplay, dressing up as Ishida from Bleach looks cool!!!

Movie World!!!

yeah...today me, Selwin, Yuleng, Sally and her friend from Perth went to Movie World!! It has been a very long time (from sec 4) since i last went there. So first we met at Roma St Station around 8am and we took a train ride to Helensvale Station (1 hr, Zone 1-Zone12!!!). But then somehow the stupid thing is that i bought a single trip adult ticket when i can buy a concession one, i think i probably haven woke up yet...lol. (what a waste of money..it was $8!!). Then from the station, we took a short bus ride there. But the crowd wasn as packed as last time, maybe there are too many theme parks here in this world.. And we do not need to queue for tickets cos Selwin already booked them online ($54 each instead of $66....what a bargain!!!) But we almost couldn get in cos the barcode that he printed was on an inkjet and the staff couldn scan the barcode...lol...Anyway here is the schedule for the whole day:

10.00am : Entrance of Movie World
10.30am : Shrek 4D (The 4D thingy with the glasses)
11.30am : Police Academy Stunt (one of my fav attractions...though the stunts are the same as last time)
12.00pm : Lunch at Gotham City Cafe (Burger Set)
12.30pm : Shrek Live Performance (was late for this one, and its quite lame, i like the transgenic donkey though)
01:00pm : Scooby-Doo Coaster (wow queued quite long for this, enjoyed this one, like the reverse part [i was shouting "who say the ride very slack one!!!"], but we almost puked out our lunch after the ride)
01:30pm : Took some photos
02:00pm : Batman Ride Simulator (very tame, almost like a back massage)
02:30pm : All-Stars Parade (quite lousy compared to Tokyo Disneyland, took a lot of photos though)
03:00pm : Wild Wild Wet (I like the getting wet part, thats why i wore bermudas...haha...poor Yuleng say wanna take the third row but end up the japanese kio the seats so he have to take the front seats...and his shoes become all wet so he became depressed again as always...duh)
03:30pm :Raining (Eat ice-cream, double scoops=three scoops, only $4.50!!!)
04:30pm : Go Home lohhhzzz

This trip to Movie World was really eventful... Besides buying a adult ticket instead of a concession one, we rushed for the wrong train on the way back!!!. Turns out that we got onto the one towards the Gold Coast instead of Brisbane...duh...i was following Selwin so not my fault worzzz....dun blame me for all the transport mishaps hor Sally... who ask u go toilet so long until Selwin blurz and took the wrong train...somemore he knock on the girls toilet door when another girl came out...so paiseh until i laugh until stomachache....Anyway Selwin was complaining about the rain at 3pm...cos he left the best rides to the last (Batwing and Superman ride)...talk about anti-climax....at least i got onto all the rides that i wanted.

We then ate at this Gawa???(forgot the name) restaurant that serve Korean & Japanese cuisine. Our friend Russell have said that its not bad so all of us tried the Korean food (ordered a BimBumDo...lol strange name). I nv eat korean food before so aiyah just try lor...looks appetising but it was so spicy after adding the red sauce (cannot tahan spicyness...sorry...maybe due to recessive genes..), still i manage to ate all of it. But Selwin and Sally's friend rated the meal as 0/10....OMG!!! Selwin said Singapore's Korean Cuisine at Century Square foodcourt also much better...lol.. but they also ate them all cos all become hungry ghosts liaoz..

Life in the Lab...

Life in the lab is pretty tiring from my experiences. It begins from 10am and ends at 5pm, but it always usually end at around 3-4pm so not too bad. Im beginning to get the hang of pipetting and inserting samples into the gel... but its the waiting part that im irrittated of. Normally there is always an incubation for 1-2 hr so in the end we spend most of the time talking cock or taking a lunch break downstairs where there is a so called common room (secret area!!!). Strangely, funny things have happened lately to me, i dunno why, but yesterday Sally somehow spilt her eluted unwanted protein sample onto my logbook!!! I was quite dulanz about it as the pages were all wet, not to mention a reddish stain at my last page from the cover. Selwin and me was also trying to scan the gel photos at the social science library cos he said his scanner image too lousy, but somehow there are always people using it.Its as if the students are too poor to afford a 3-in-1 printer or something (its only $70 for gods sake).. He said that normally no one will use it...but i think we suay....Anyway we juz manage to scan just one image cos the other 1 looks as bad as from his home scanner (also due partly to the spillage where it became crumpled..)

Todays joke of the day, i was doing the spectrophotometer reading where we have to record the absorbance every min interval for 5min. So i put a cuvette with the sample into the meter, then i was really shocked to see the absorbance reading at 0 for 5min!! Turns out that i put a blank cuvette instead of the one with the protein sample....so no wonder the reading is 0 (it was a control)....wahhahahah. The readings are normally recorded in the meter, but i wrote them down on my book as a backup, but somehow i can write the wrong reading on my book. Selwin was laughing like hell...

And when we leaving the lab, they commented about the power of my singlish. Whats wrong? im being unique anyway....they even critisise my prononuciation of or-lun-do.Duh...

So tomorrow is the last practical, just finialising everything up... Hopefully i can really begin writing my reports...

Holiday Week!!!

yes its the holiday week finally...yeah!!! Unfortunately i also have 4 practicals for BIOC3002 for today up to friday 10am-5pm....such crappy timetable...its supposed to be a holiday week so that we can catch up with our reports....in the end it juz added up onto my workload. And the closed book quiz turns out to be quite stupid...i mean who would memorise the three amino acid coding for the florescent chromophore in pGEX-GFP (plasmid containing fusion protein of GST and GFP..). Hopefully i can get a passing grade consisting of 2% for the course...And the worse thing is that they gave a lab notebook to each of us when the manual said that we have to buy on our own... talk about waste of money....Luckily it turns out that the practical is quite fun for me as i have forgotten about all the PCR and gel electrophoresis stuff, only Selwin that goondu keep complaining that he did so many experiments in his Introduction to Research course until sianz ji pua....and i made a new friend called Sam from China...Hi!!! Somemore i wrote so much stuff in my new red notebook until i scared by the end of the pract, there will be no more free pages...oh well guess i have to write smaller from now on...

My gel photo turns out to be quite good at the end...i would like to post here but im afraid ppl would copy my image and use it for their own project...so too bad... Somehow i have an extra week holiday after the practical so hope i still have some free time to play my Monster Hunter Freedom 2!!!!...wahhahahah

Bleach: Memories of Nobody

Hi again....i juz watched the latest Bleach movie called Memories of Nobody, and its really good. This is set after the Soul Society rescue, which is in the time frame of the Bounto appearance. Interesting plot with new characters, with some of the captains in Soul Society in actioN!!! (Appearance of Kenpachi slashing that poor guy, and Sai Fung using her butterfly thing..and theres even an appearance of Ishida...so long nv see him...) I dun wanna spoil the whole plot, but then ill just summarise whatever i can.

So one day, there is the appearance of many so called white christmas tree-like souls with pixie hats called "Blanks", souls which lost their memories and are wandering around from another dimension called Valley of Screams. They were attacking Ichigo and Rukia when somehow this kawaii gal called Senna who is thought to be a shinigami kill the crap out of them. Unfortunatly she doesn have any memory of anything except her name. After a few uninteresting plot where she and Ichigo gradually become very good friends (or maybe she had a crush on Ichigo) and the part where he bring her back home and as usual, his dad and younger sister become curious (i like that part...), it turns out that she is a Memory Rosary where the blanks memories are all within her, and she should not exist. And some baddies exiled from Soul Society wanna revenge, so they captured and used her to destroy both the real world and Soul Society. As the two worlds are going to collide, the Captain Commander decide to use the kidou cannon to destroy the Valley of Screams Of course Ichigo went to rescue her first and even manage to Bankai and use his black aura and superior strength to rape the baddie boss.

However, in the end as expected, even after destroying the other dimension, the two worlds still continue to collide so she sacrificed herself so that Ichigo and the rest can live on....such sadness...almost cried at that part...and since the powers of the Blanks is fading away, so will his memories of Senna. But amazingly, her red ribbon somehow got onto Ichigo's hands and he vaguely remembers her, and theres even an image of her running past him...cool!!

Ok thats all...heres the best part....the pictures!!! But sadly i cant find Senna's picture, so ill have to search for it and when i do ill put it up!

Yes guess what... today is my birthday...and im 22 this yr...time flies really fast. Sadly im in Brisbane so i cant celebrate with my friends back in Singapore. Oh well. This means im staying home and blog the whole day...well at least i have some chivas to drink. Yesterday Sally asked me to go over to the guys house to celebrate...but i dun really feel like going there as it takes 1 hr to travel...and the bus frequency during weekends is damn slow...well u can also say im lazy...but who wants to go out on such a hot day...(Spring now...) Even when im sleeping at night, im only wearing a tshirt, not my black jacket anymore....

Hi again...this time i would like to talk about the annual Brisbane River Festival....which me and my 2 friends Yu Leng and Sally went to on Saturday... Though it is named the river festival...its actually nothing to do with any water body or any performance on water...instead i heard it starts with a flyby from a fighter jet...dunno whats the model (F something...) and 30min of nonstop fireworks.... (quite stupid...they should just call it the "Fireworks Festival" or something).....Anyway I arrived late though as i need to finish my stupid eco report and as typical singaporeans, they went to chop a place at South Bank 2 hrs earlier (started at 7pm...). Although i arrived quite early by my standards....i was quite shocked to see tons of people there...and i couldn find them until 30min later (saw CCM members on the way...Hi guys!!!).... So while we were waiting for the fireworks to start....they want me to try their $1 bread that they bought earlier...(i sense something sinister but i tried it and well...it sux). Can't understand why they like it....maybe they nv eat bread for a long time....

So the fireworks started and well, its kind of good (at least better than NDP...but pales in comparison to tokyo disneyland...). After that, we kind of like stuck in the middle at the end of the performance.... and i even have to use my low wall technique in SOC to take a shortcut and to avoid the crowd. My day ends with an $8 fish and chips pack (10% fish, 90% chips)....

Yup...as every1 who knows me....i have an anime siao guy....so even when i come to Brisbane im still dling the new animes such as Claymore (gruesome anime), Heroic Age (the pic at the top of my blog), Lucky Star (kawaii!!!...no plot....Konota rulz!!!), Gigantic Formula (Robot Wars..) and not forgeting Naruto and Bleach.... However im really sad as some of my animes that i brought from Singapore are gone due to my external hdd partiton corrupting.....so Adrian if u are here...pls remember to help me dl the animes that i told u.......thanks heaps...(just dl lah...dun scared that u will kn caught....)

Internet Blues

Now, i would like to complain about the Internet Service in Brisbane. Firstly let me introduce the various ISPs.....Telstra Bigpond (im using this currently), Optus (Singtel bought over liaoz), and TPG. The internet has a quota system in that every mth, the ISP gives u a certain limit, say 12GB....if u upload and download 12gb of data, it will charge u extra or they slow ur internet down to a measly 64kbps....The advantages and disadvantages between these ISPs are:

Bigpond => Very expensive, 12GB for $69.90, 25GB for $99.90, as my homestay ppl is using it for telephone line as well, the price is cut by 50%, so 25Gb for $50 is reasonable for me....haha...somemore no contract....

Optus => Should be ok ba....but 20GB for $69.90 is too steep for me ler...need 24 mth contract somemore....

TPG => New kid on the block.....offering 150GB (40GB peak, 110GB offpeak!!!) for $69.90....need 18 mth contract...when i move i will subscribe to this.....

I recently upgraded from 12GB to 25GB, as i often exceed my quota (download too many animes and journals)....this means that my torrent speed fall to 0.5kbps instead of the usual 50kbps....and my tvants cant stream too....this means no EPL for me to watch....so hopefully my life would be better after this.....

Brisbane City

As u all know....im currently homestaying at a suburb in North Brisbane called Gordon Park....where everyone doesnt know where it is...its a very quiet place, the good thing is that there is a soccer field nearby and the bus stop is right at my doorstep, but the nearest basketball court is out of sights...this suxs... soccer is not really popular here...every1 plays footy here (which is sort of soccer and rugby combined..but it looks cool as i watch AFL [Australian Football League] live on TV). Due to the long travelling time, i am seriously thinking of moving closer to St Lucia (where my campus is located) during the semester break....

Everyday, i have to pass the city (CBD area) in order to go to uni....so i pretty much know everything there....including where to take the bus to uni and the queensland transport centre where i registered for my driving theory test....(thankfully i passed...but i need 100 hrs of driving and have to wait 1 yr to take practical test....which sux...) Sorry to digress....but disappointingly, the city area looks small in comparison to Singapore's CBD area....other than Queen Street, where it is some sort of Bugis Junction, with shops to the left and right and some shopping centres....i seriously have to take a picture there someday...

Life in UQ.....

So after bidding to my sec 4 classmates, niaoz and gang at Changi, i arrived at Brisbane with my parents and the weather is so ccoollldd at that time. As university hostels are very expensive, and i do not know any people here, i decided to homestay at my mum's friend's friend house for a while.... This place is not bad...except that the journey to my uni is 1 hr!!!!!....it almost seems the same as my poly days....but oh well get used to it i suppose...

After that i went to take a look at the uni...and the campus is really big...almost like singapore poly...but the shocking thing is that there are no fast food outlets!!!....ahhhhhh....and the food is so expensive...have to resort to packing lunch at home... i was so looking forward to taking a look at the great court...but disappointingly the grass and trees are all botak...oh well...this proves that the pictures that the IDP show at the pre-departure seminar are all fake!!!...or maybe they were taken during summer...damn....

ahh anyway my parents and i went to all the possible orientation sessions there are in the whole week (talk about kiasuism at its peak....) and surprisingly i saw the same people attending all the sessions too....haha guess other students are kiasu too....

After some choosing and chopping, i manage to decide on these 4 courses that im taking for the semester:

BIOC3002 DNA & Protein Technology

(Vector NTI stuff, PCR, Blotting......i hate it but no choice its recommended...good thing is exam is just 50%....)

BIOC3003 Human Molecular Genetics and Diseases

(Interesting, but the exam weightage is too high, and its recommended...so no choice either)

BIOC3004 Structural Biology

(One of the course that i am interested in, as my FYP and ITP are all in this area. But a lot of chemistry stuff until i blur....)

BIOL3010 Ecological and Evolutionary Genetics

(Good thing is that there is no exam for this course, bad thing is super blur....)

Well thats the 4 courses im taking right now...and i met quite a number of friends here, joined the CCM (Campus Christian Movement, for fun....won a Logitech Speaker in a lucky draw...heheh) and the UQ Symphonic Band (a lot of pros...most studying UQ Music Degree....no clarinet so have to borrow from music school....pathetic...).....guess uni life is not so bad after all....or is it????

Summary of my Life for last 2 yrs

Yup...i have finally updated my blog after slogging for 2 yrs in National Service. Let me summarize my life in NS in four paragraphs.....

Ok...i entered BMT Tekong Sch 2 on 10 June 2005 and got into Pegasus Coy Platoon 3 Section 4 Bed 6. In that batch, my company is the only one who have intake for girls. So BMT is generally ok for me...other than the dreaded Tekong Cough that everyone seem to have by drinking Tekong water.. but anyway... i met my poly buddy class classmate Nicholas who is in the same section as me...my buddy Jallen is really good...he takes care of me and since i dun wanna enter OCS...i juz voted for him during peer appraisal. Yup somehow i managed to pass IPPT at the last attempt and i completed BMT...yeah...

Then i got posted as a signal operator IC2...and the life there is heaven...juz basically studying all the way and somehow Nicholas end up there too....Nothing happens much there...and after the course, me and 2 others got posted to 3SIR....

Yup i can summarise 3SIR in 1 word............HELL............. I dun wanna discuss the situation or i will get sued..... just that there are good and bad things happening there...i met some really good people and really bad people who backstab all the time...and thankfully the sergeants are really friendly....Thanks Edwin!!!

Finally, I ORDed on 9th June 2007 and i flew to Brisbane on 10th July 2007. Presently im studying Bachelor of Science (Genetics, Biochemistry???), final yr at University of Queensland. So i will be discussing life in Brisbane from now on...
